Is it unreasonable that I'm annoyed the author has them celebrating Thansgiving November 24 (the day it would have been celebrated if it was always the last Thursday in November) instead of December 15 (the day it was ACTUALLY celebrated in Massachusetts in 1774?

No! And it sounds like this particular author had a lot of issues with accuracy :(
