Ok was so so into this story’s atmosphere and beautiful language — and one does have to be a bit on guard when a white author deals with the subject of racism, but he was doing pretty well until this one scene… so i’m lowkey devastated about a certain chapter like it felt unnecessary for the story. However I am continuing and praying we come back from this - fear I won’t get past it tho 🫠
