Chapter 22. The vacation is over, Taylor heads back to her home town. Myles follows on his motorbike. By the end of the chapter Myles explains he is giving up bounty hunting to be a PI and settle down with Taylor. The story ends with them in bed making love. Just the epilogue to go now.

Chapter 21. Taylor and Jude chat on the beach. After Jude goes to get some food or drink. Taylor is alone on the beach and suddenly a gun is cocked to her head. It’s Kurt the assistant. The mayor was not in on it, Kurt was acting alone. Short version, Myles arrives and saves Taylor. He confesses his feelings and lets her know he wants a real relationship not just a fling. The chapter ends waiting a response.

Chapter 20. Myles is back in his motel regretting his argument with Taylor. After three years keeping his distance he phones his brother Kevin for advice. After a quick catch up and discussion, Myles has a moment of clarity remembering the peep holes from the brining of the story. The Mayor was not working alone, The Mayor’s assistant had to be involved too. Taylor is in danger and not answering her phone.

Chapter 19. Myles and Taylor arrive at Lisa Stanley’s house. The short version is that there is arguing between Lisa and the mayor Rhonda. Taylor does not do as Myles asks putting herself in danger. The mayor is arrested and Lisa is unharmed. Myles and Taylor have an argument, it remains unresolved as we head into the next chapter.

Chapter 18. Long chapter. Lots to unpack. The pair make love, in a quiet church no less. It is obvious they are falling in love despite agreeing it was a no strings thing. Huge reveal in plot. The company who own the rentals is owned by the Mayor who ironically is publicly against the rentals. This puts her as prime suspect and towards the end of the chapter. The murder victims sister could be next.

Chapter 17. After the intimacy of the previous chapter Taylor and Myles go down stairs to Jude arriving from his beach trip. He notices Taylor’s bandage on her head and gets a debrief on the situation. Before he can process it, his estranged Movie Star boyfriend Dante arrives after seeing them on the news regards the murder case. Dante is followed by paparazzi.

Chapter 16. Wow!!! Myles takes Taylor home after the assault. She’s feeling so much better she initiates a sexual encounter in the bathroom. Myles was just trying to keep her warm by running a shower. But they end up having rough frantic sex. Taylor begging to be man handled and got what she asked for.

Chapter 15 done. It’s picking up pace. Taylor goes to search property records at the library and uncovers a clue the murder victim Co-owned his rental properties with a corporation. She is then assaulted and knocked out cold. Myles comes to tend to her from meeting with the police. They head hope after given the all clear from the paramedics. Their emotional bond deepens. However they miss out on ice cream

Chapter 14 done. Myles reflecting on his feelings. Both for Taylor and Himself. The pair head into town. They split as Taylor plans to head to the Library and Myles heads for a meeting with the police about the ballistic report. They agree to meet later for ice cream

Chapter 13. A bit refreshing to see some interaction between Taylor and her gay brother Jude. They chat about Myles and Jude’s complicated relationship with his “straight” friend Dante. Myles appears towards the end of the chapter and the group leave the beach and head for breakfast. Myles mention ballistics are back, so the murder investigation looks to be picking up.
