Just like younger me, I’m still appalled reading that Amy burned Jo’s book as a revenge for not being taken to see a play with older kids. Adolescents did not want to babysit an immature 12-year-old who acts all of 9 or 10. Amy’s actions are petty and vindictive at the age when it shows your character pretty well. I’m on Jo’s side here, and Amy is a little jerk.

Oh, I liked Jo when I was a kid, and I was not happy about the lack of Jo/Laurie pairing because my young heart assumed that had to happen.But knitting — that’s sacred. Jo is on notice, and if she disses crochet as well, she and I will have a serious conversation 😅
Hahaha! I hated knitting, so I'll be on Jo's side here. 😅I did learn crochetting and embroidery, though. Mum made me... I just couldn't with knitting.

I hated embroidery. Apparently mine was never neat enough, whatever that means, but knitting works as a substitute for fidgeting, and I always was a fidgety kid.
