Brian Willis This was wacky election! Enjoy the mudslinging.

Thanks! So far it's proving pretty enjoyable. One of the thing I enjoy about the series is the approach each author takes. Ratcliffe is using the election to take a deep dive into the political world of the early 1820s, which belies the whole "era of good feelings" label applied to it.

Brian Willis I believe just about every historian has this one in top Five dirtiest/muddlinging ever. 1800 as well! Brutal low blows.
