Agatha Christie always gets me in the mood for cold winter nights. She is the queen, after all!
Always and forever: the shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
Late to the party but I just read Babel and it was amazing.
La Belle Sauvage feels like a cold magic autumnal book. Part of his dark materials series. The fact that the start is set in an English country pub with lots of references to pie and mash eating definitely sets an autumn tone!
