What a book! Will need to reread in months to a year or so to keep track of all the strands intertwined here. But this is no fault of the book, but of me not taking notes. Leaves me with noobie insights aplenty. If you want to learn how the renaissance developed perspectives humans had of themselves and nature radically different from what preceded them directly, then this is as good a book as you are likely to get
