I’m with my two sweet dogs and we are reading ADJUNCT by Maria Adelman and EVERY DAY I READ by Hwang Bo-reum, a delightful book about books. She speaks of book bars in South Korea where you go solo, sit a a table by yourself, have a drink and read your book, surrounded by others doing the same. I am obsessed!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY GOOD MAN! That is an absolute milestone, and I promise that drinks are on me to celebrate when at least we meet in person. If I can get mawkish for a moment, our across-the-pond virtual acquaintance has brought me immense joy, and I hope your next 50 years are even better than the first.
