The Call of Cthulhu: Neat short story, I appreciate the tension built around the monster before the “reveal”. Plays as mysterious folklore with the way it’s written.

Just finished up the Dunwich Horror. Loved it. Lovecraft does a great job of slowly building the mystery of his creatures and setting up how incomprehensible and horrifying they are to the human eye. yeah cool stuff

At first The Silver Key short story is numbingly pretentious and nihilistic, and then it just kind of devolves into an incoherent mess. Not sure what he was going for but at least it was short! Kind of came across as Instagram Reels “stargates” and “inter-dimensional communication” conspiracies for part of it.
