What is my favorite thing about this couple?
I love their vulnerability with each other. They share all their fears, aspirations, and heartache and help each other heal. Right out the gate, they became each other's safe space and that was my favorite part of their relationship development.

Maybe I took one step too many. I thought seeing her again would curb my interest. Like scratching an agitating itch. Instead, my intrigue has only magnified, and while I don’t know what the hell I’m doing, after today, I know one thing for sure. I’m in trouble. Complicated trouble, like I’m standing at the edge of a deep pool I’m guaranteed to drown in.

I think a lot of times being a writer is romanticized, and while it is such a fun and fulfilling career, it is full of emotional turmoil as well. I really wanted to write a story where the other side of romance writing (the nitty gritty stuff) to paint a full picture. I think writing a character who shares my career was also really raw, honest, and personally therapeutic for me.
