What is going on in the romance department? Geez, I thought I was indecisive. She big pimpin.' In all seriousness, I wanted to finish this today but I do not think that will happen as I am exhausted from defending my Duolingo streak. I think the chapters in this book are too long to keep my attention. I always thought I liked longer chapters, but alas; I was wrong.

I am torn between who I like more, Captain Wenzhi or Prince Liwei. They both seem to complement our MC nicely. I like the playful side of Liwei, but I also like the encouragement of Wenzi, however, both have drawbacks that I am curious to see fleshed out. Princess Fengmei just had something happen to her and I am curious to see what happens. Writing style is still a bit off, but I am getting used to it.

I am still struggling with the passive narration. She has to be writing it from the future and looking back on the past because otherwise, the decision with storytelling does not make sense to me. I am getting close to where I put the book down because of my slump. Hopefully, a slump will not infringe on me...

I had to stop in the middle of chapter 5 because my eyes were no longer focusing on the pages and neither was I comprehending the words.

I am still having a problem with the writing style. It makes sense as the narrator is immortal, but my mortal mind does not comprehend. It is beautiful, though.
