Beowulf defeats a Breca, which is like a big Kraken/Giant squid. "Yet strength was given me to pierce the monster with my sword, and I slew him." (Hinds 17).

Beowulf is by far the strongest character in the book; everyone is scared of him, and he can go toe to toe with a monster twice his size. like the Kraken, or the dragon.

My favorite character is Beowulf, because he defeats a dragon and other evil creatures by himself.
