reading the past few chapters has made me feel so joyful and full of collective nostalgia. i am really connecting with this book, and feel a lot of parallels between the experiences of Imbler in New York and myself in my own city. i love salps. also mention of Diablo Canyon? okay SLO county!

what beautiful writing!!!! i’m diving through these stories — Imbler does such an incredible job bringing sea creatures to life while reflecting on life’s own experiences. i love the parallels. as a queer person myself, with a background in biology, i feel like this book was written for me 🐙🦑🪼🐋🐠🐟🐡🪱🦀
