Waaaay too much about the difficulties and successes of converting youths to Christianity. However, to do so among villages and towns of Afghanistan one imagines the good doctor must have had a death wish.

I imagine one of the hardest things about writing historical fiction must be researching a time when entitled colonizers were even more blatantly racist. An Englishman of his era, he was not among the worst if he wasn't digging up your ancestors' graves to measure their skulls. I really admire the thorough research you put into your writing. Thank you for reading about dead white men so I don't have to.
