Okay, I am going to be a pedant here but there are some glaringly obvious historical mistakes in this book and it did my head in.
1. It mentions sugar on porridge! Sugar wasn’t used in medieval Europe.
2. The monk has a pipe! Tobacco wasn’t used in 14th C. Europe
3. The monk strikes a match - they weren’t invented until 1826.
