The main point of view switches from the two main characters' first-person view.

I don't think any danger would come from it; perhaps the lack of knowledge and the inability to control and manipulate someone if that were their only form of learning.

Protagonists: Shimamura and Adachi

"Wait, what? Hold the phone -- what? What did I almost say just now? What -- did I say it for real? I didn't, did I? But what would she do if I did? What would happen?" (Iruma 154).

The setting is in a town, midday, and Shimamura and Adachi are hanging out after school.

The setting is in a modern high school gym loft, in the afternoon. Shimamura is talking with her new Adachi.

"And so, the four of us formed a weird, tentative connection. But this wasn't a happy, harmonious circle; it was a deformed lump with me at the center." (Iruma 67).

"But there she was, jacket off and shirt untucked in her usual sloppy fashion, adjusting her bangs in a compact mirror."
