Mmmmmm….still don't know about this book. I like the story. But I don't like the writing.

I hate to be a negative nancy, but so far, this book has not impressed me, but has only sort of entertained me. I suspect that as I get further into it, the story will take over, and I'll be able to overlook the writing, which so far I consider to be kinda unpolished. (I know, I know! I'm being negative!) I'm distracted every time I encounter a sentence that goes "She ____ as she ______." Too many. I got more gripes.
