I’m so sorry, I know people want to separate this book from Red Queen/Hunger Games BUT Adena’s death scene down to the way she dies is EXACTLY like Rue’s death scene. NUH UH. listen i keep giving this book a chance, and had i never read either series i’d say this is pretty great. I’m convinced people love this bc they haven’t read the OGs. it’s literally the same. insane.

i’m literally crawling through this. i know a ton of people love this book, but this feels almost verbatim a cheesier version of hunger games. Are you kidding me with the “what’s your favorite color” moment. it’s giving Peeta from Catching Fire reversed. i’m going to keep giving this a chance but i’m not happy about it.
