I knew before the halfway point of my first read on KU that this would be happening, though. You and others here know that "found family" is my crack! 🥴 Add a layered, Victorian-setting plot full of drama, suspense, and mystery ... pretty much the perfect five-thumbs-up series for me! 👍👍👍👍👍 Will love seeing this set on my shelf.

Yeah, long series with new members added to the "family" with each entry ... starting with Banyak (Silas) and Fecks (Andrej) in this prequel which ends the day before the next book begins. It's certainly not for everyone, but I love it and them.
