Pikettys' are easier to read, because of no math models and functions but so far Stiglitz has slowed down and simplified the most his argument to tell the story to dummy like me.

here is the thing: how about all economic competition between countries is run by game theory in open game setting? so each country has few 1-3 industries that have the best competitive advantages to generate economic benefit for the whole countries and serve global customers, and no countries have the same ones to compete each other.

I am rereading from page 171. what he is saying is: if you can distinguish what forces that can help income distribution more evenly are from the ones that will enforce more extreme distribution, then we can find good polices to ease the income inequality, despite the claim from Piketty that only global tax polies can ease the income inequality. oh i only have less than 40 characters to type...

more than half of my mind has been sleeping... nothing to do with the book. I like him going with the old style: math formulas to demonstrate his points. Although I dont understand math formulas, I can understand the points.
