I like the writing but I’m getting a little tired as the story just keeps meandering from one generation to the next. I was expecting to learn more about the caste system but it’s light touch. I wish this book had a vision statement so I could mentally stay engaged and have an idea of where Varghese is going with this but I think I’m going to have to table it for now. And only halfway through at 400 pages…
