This book is giving me the brutal, trashy, will she survive vibe that its 2 predecessors did. Faust has a gift for depicting the grittier side of life and the people who populate it. Her writing is cinematic, filled with characters that seem like real people and over the top set pieces that are a joy to read. This trilogy would make a great series.
