Characters are being introduced one by one, each with their own storylines being woven. The setting of the story is focused on a cultural and historical Manila but with mythical fantasy. It's very descriptive, and it doesn't shy away from really building the mood of the novel. It's colorful. The way the author describes scenes and characters is very colorful, and that helps my imagination a lot.
