I’ve been carting this around since the early 1980s. Didn’t realize till now it was his last. Only picked up because it was a favorite of my favorite at the time, Kerouac. Ignoring his blighted politics in order to accept his writing as he intended.

Not loving it, but worth finishing. Interesting historical account of the end of third reich.

Julie G Isn't it funny how long certain books can sit on our shelves, untouched? Whenever I discover a gem that's been staring at me for years, I just about want to kick myself, but I'm only one woman, trying my best to read two books per week!
(I love the new profile pic, FYI. I am always delighted when I see people reading, especially seeing what you've modeled for this dear little one).
