My explanation for this is that reading is inherently political and well educated people tend to be informed on politics (and uneducated people tend to be upsettingly loud about their willful ignorance), but if you don’t want to see politics on here I’d recommend blocking me bc I post a lot of political stuff :)

I do generally agree, I also hate seeing politics on here, but I think that the past few days were not necessarily a political reaction but more of an emotional one. It was just very scary and extreme I just feel like many wanted to get it off their chest. At least that was the case for me. But a lot of other people started to make it political when it was never about that.
