Reading this for the first time as I wanted to read the Legion crossover in the next volume.
I had forgotten how much the New 52 books just grabbed whatever ideas they liked and hit frappe on the blender.
The “new” Adam Strange is just very off; Animal Man and Green Arrow both have horrid costumes; and don’t get me started on “Savage Hawkman.” Ugh

The New 52 was a major mixed bag that took major chances on characters, teams, and concepts which I do give DC credit for with some really good series like Animal Man, Frankenstein Agent of SHADE, and even I, Vampire being among my favorites coming to mind.
