This has become weird for me, I cannot imagine all this imagery just feels like fantasising to me, I can’t imagine all this stuff helping my child good trauma in anyway it doesn’t make any sense I’ve gone through it with some one trusted and they also think it’s a very weird way to approach it. When I try to do the imagery I just feel like an idiot who’s been fake

To get through this book takes time if you do the activities the recommended amount of time and record appendix A, it’s useful because it helps to see what works for me and what doesn’t help at all, usually the writing is my favourite

I found chapter 16 and 17 really helpful I definitely enjoy writing exercises more than meditation or imagery, but I think that it’s good to try new exercises and then work out what works best for the individual. I will be doing the writing exercises for the allotted time over the next few days to see if it shifts some of my shame.

Chapter 13 was really useful i definitely feel I can use the core beliefs and recent disturbing event table to understand why my brain floats back to memories and I think that with practice the float back technique may be able to help, I’m going to give it a try

What I love about this work book is it goes through so many things it takes an holistic approach to the individual down to a meal plan and the 3 main parts to looking after our brains, this section has helped me to look at where I am been neglectful to my brain and to see where I am doing well.

I have high hopes for this book, I feel like I’m at the right stage in my life to work through my childhood and do some more healing and this book makes perfect sense, I like how things are explained, I like the questions and I like the parts.
