Am I missing something….? 🤔
What is everybody else seeing that I’m not?
I hate to do it but I think this might go into my dnf. I’m just not connecting with the characters. Not even Darrow. I might try it with audiobook. Maybe giving Darrow a voice will help.
It kinda sucks cuz I really like the premise of the story but I’m just droning through it.

I’m just not sure….. I don’t know if I like all the wired language choices. It’s a mix of really old fashioned English, new made up English and some Greek god names thrown in for good measure. It’s wired.

That's too bad it didn't work for you! But not all styles of writing work for everyone, even if they're well written and popular. That's happened to me before too.

Yeah, I’m disappointed. But it is what it is. I’m pretty excited to get into Ruthless Vows anyways.
Yeah, I can see why you would be! I've had my eye on that series too, and seeing you not click with it makes me less inclined to try it soon haha. Hopefully RV does you better, I liked it even more than DR! Though I know some people thought it started off slow, I enjoyed all the new information and build up!
It wouldn’t hurt to give this one a try you might like it. For all I know the book gets better. I just couldn’t get into it. Maybe if ruthless vows wasn’t staring at me waiting to be picked up I would have pushed through this one…. Idk lol.
Haha! That's true, it's very hard to get into one book while another you've been excited to read is waiting for you. xD
