I really tried to get into this book, but I knew it was in trouble when I put it down to read another book... and then picked it up again only to think about starting my next book instead. I think the writing style is too much telling not enough showing or showing,then telling just to make sure. I couldn't bring myself to care what was happening to the granddaughter's narrative either. Maybe I need to retry later...
