Very readable for something first published in 1930 although slightly marred by the author's sexism.
He's just called the Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene, Mary mother of James, Salome and Joanna the "Inevitable Women". Charming!

We're all highly strung, prone to exaggeration and on need of protection apparently. Perhaps this response proves his point? 🤣
