This was genuinely one of the most emotionally distressing books I have ever read. King is brilliant. Being able to take a concept like this, that’s incredibly interesting but relatively flat, and make it into something like this is awe-inspiring. The descriptions of the slow descent into madness that each of the characters suffer was so well done.
