While I am keenly interested and appreciative in hearing Christian thinkers/pastors carefully, diplomatically, disavow and reason their way around the absurd violent craziness embraced by their co-religionists, there is something richly ironic about anyone claiming to be rational and logical in the same breath as an aside that "of course we believe in the inerrant literal truth of the Bible and all its miracles".

Although this is not a very exciting book, I had an epiphany as I approach the final chapters about why the rebuttals and critiques against QAnon by Christian pastors and theologians are so tepid, careful, and equivocal. Similarly, many politicians won't disavow QAnon. Why? Because the tendency to believe crazy things is something they both depend upon! Christianity is a conspiracy theory! It started just like QAnon!
