Jack Nileth A Study in Scarlet: As one of only two stories in this book that's more than a 100 pages long, I kinda expected more of a mystery. Instead Holmes has already solved everything by the halfway point, which is followed by a huge chunk of backstory, which could easily have been its own separate story. And it's fine, for such a short story, but the actual mystery is not very interesting or engaging. But at least I know how Holmes and Watson met, so that's something, I guess.
