saw this book when looking at new horror releases and it sounds like my first impression was correct... it's kind of crazy to see books with gimmicky titles that will stop making sense once another tiktok trend pops up

So far (only 40% in ) it's not the worst book I've ever read, plus it was a free ARC since i work at a bookstore. But it is WAY too trendy. the pace is also way too slow for a horror, or even a thriller. Besides the occasional vague reference to some kind of sorority hive mind that Consumes for Power it's just.... a whole lot of nothing. I also think a big part of why I dislike it is because I'm way too decentered from men to care about these women's everyday problems.
