so. jon krakauer just has this way of writing that makes me understand things i have deemed previously overwhelming. like understanding JUST how unprepared american soldiers were for the invasion of Iraq… it’s astounding the horrors i am reading it’s making me queasy (krakauer writing has often made me psychically feel sick, he is amazing and gifted)
