the quick dynamic between them both makes me so feral. I want them to get together but I also want them to just be friends this book, and then next book indulge in the romance

The entire conversation about friendship and toxic love in chapter 10 reflects so many of my own thoughts and feelings, I also love that she didn't make them immediately be friends but ended it on a positive note of: "because I think I'd actually like to be his friend." Its wholesome and so unrushed, im loving this

"Why? Were you sleeping with your friend?"
"No. Alas, hes very straight."
"How unfortunate"
"Tragic, really. Can you imagine limiting your options that way?"

No one wants to have the exact same name as their parent, whether they're on good terms or not. Its just weird. And parents who name their kid their own name are almost always pretentious assholes.

Did not expect a vampire novel when I first got this but I'm not complaining
