I've been complaining about this book to anyone who will listen, but by now I've noticed that I like the actual bloody/explicit horror scenes the best – much better than the daily life sequences. They feel the most "creative" and literary as well... And there have been more of those lately. So that's nice.

A tough read so far. It's easy to race through 40 pages of this in an hour, but that's because it's so damn simple, not because I'm enjoying myself. I genuinely believe this was marketed (to me at least) in a wrong way. This is horror genre literature, period, the end. No second layer, no character-driven anything. Certainly not litfic.
