      Sleepwalkers - 3
Hand, Cup, Shell - 3.5 prob some deeper meaning that was lost on me just reading it once
Ether, OR - 3, same as last story where you’d probably be able to get a lot more out of it by really studying it. Also think it’d be more appreciated by someone older
Half Past Four - 4.5 took me a while to catch what was going on with each little story within this one, really like the concept

Gwilan’s Harp - 2 kinda a nothing story to me
Mary’s Lion - 3.5 last paragraph is perfect
Buffalo Gals, Won’t You Come Out Tonight - 4
Horse Camp - ? This one lost me
The Water is Wide - ? Liked this story mostly
The Lost Children - 3.5 only 2 pages but really well written, gets a point across clearly
Texts - 3 another story that’s probably not gonna stick with me, interesting little idea

Imaginary Countries - 4. Would defo be more impactful if I’d read more of the Orsinian tales, kinda love the last line.
The Diary of the Rose - 3. Similar themes/ideas to some of the previous stories, v simple but I did really like it. Diary entries actually written in a believable way
Direction of the Road - 2.5. Fine. A definite change to other stories so far in the book but my least favourite probably

      A Week in the Country 4.5 (?)
‘Talking aloud under the open sky, they gave him the key to the house of manhood, the prison where they lived and he would live. But they had known other houses. He had not.’
Shocking ending, really liked this story

Brother and Sisters, 3.5. Characters their interactions and the towns felt very real and developed for a short story, nice hopeful ending. Kinda blah though, especially for le guin
