I’m finding that these thoughts are only transferable to the traditionalist American world of acting of the time. But even still, this isn’t an excuse to keep narrow minded the 90s were an extremely progressive time in theatre - with the likes of in-yer-face, absurdist revival, instillations etc. (OH and SARAH CANE for christs sake)

the chapter on auditions wasn’t as unbearable as i thought it would be! i liked some of the thoughts on one’s personal relationship, there is a lot of privilege under the lines though.

He’s too narrow minded to make statements so unspecific about such a broad topic of discussion/interest

So far i have agreed with Mamet once and disagreed more times than i’m willing to admit, Am i too passionate & crazy if i said I’ve lost sleep over his cynicism?
