One of my new favorite books regardless of how this plays out. However, when the godmother comes in, it seems like the tone changes, a lot more cutesy, while still dark fairytale--I would like it better still if there wasn't the sort of ya cutesy turn. Also, there are moments where it is meta and I don't love that.
