The two times that we lost a friend too young. The community was very unified together.

The song Que Sera Sera has an emotional tone in the book. The characters have to decide all of these things about their futures with the strings, but the song is saying what will be, will be.

I would be upset and try to have them see my point of view, but at the end of the day, you can't control anyone or their thoughts and opinions. I would just hope that they would support me no matter what.

My priorities are God, my family, and my friends. My other priorities would be happiness and fulfillment.

I do think that the short stringers are a minority group and should fight for their rights, because they are not able to get the same jobs just because of the length of their string.

I think I would, because if I am going to die soon anyway, I would want to give another person a chance for a better life and fate than myself.

I think I would be upset by the fact that my parent invaded my privacy and kept it a secret. If they were to open my box, I would want them to be honest. I think I would initially be upset, but I would understand why they would want to open it.

I wouldn't open my child's box without their permission because I would be scared to know, and I wouldn't want to invade their privacy. It is their own choice if they want to tell me about their string or not.

Instead of Hank leaving and traveling because of his short string, he decided to keep working and not tell anybody about his string.

I think that Hank will become anxious for his safety at the hospital and start to question the people that he surrounds himself with, since he recognized the shooter. I think that people in society wouldn't be very surprised about this shooting because times are really chaotic at the moment, and people have gotten so used to shootings.
