You know, every person who says that they are capitalistic should read this. It would be very beneficial.

Charlotte Baines Looks like an interesting book. On it MM

message 2: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume My dad's gonna have me read it....*gulps* But i am (sort of?) looking forward to it..........

message 3: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee @Noel Hume Its not interesting as long as you realize it's not a story

message 4: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Hehehehe
This is true 😂

message 5: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee I'm reading it like a debate. I read a few pages and talk with myself as to why it's right or wrong. It's usually right. MM

message 6: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume That's literally what I'm going to have to do, because I have such a hard time focusing on books like this....I read like one page and then I'm like wait what...if somebody told me to give them a summary of this page i would be like I HAVE NO IDEA 😭

message 7: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee Well, deep breath, prayers said... Confidence is key. Besides, once you understand one page you're going to feel very smart.

message 8: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume All in all.....by the time I read all 1076 pages I'll feel like a genius so it'll be worth it. (Also worth it just to be able to say I read it) MM
But I have to ask....are you reading this for school or for fun?

message 9: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee This is technically for fun, but I'm also trying to get a grasp on often debated topics in politics. I saw this as a good choice. I probably wouldn't be reading it with this voracity if it was for school... MM

BUT YOU WILL DEFINITELY FEEL LIKE A GENIUS.

Pardon the late response.

message 10: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Cool!! Not sure if my dad will have me read all of it, but I know he said some at least and I cringed internally then, BUT I'm sure it'll be good for me to read it. You've convinced me that it'll be interesting at least MM

message 11: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee Oh, you'll be fine. Don't worry.

Also, is the author of the book you recommended related to you?

message 12: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Yessssss the author is my daddy :) So I'm def not biased when I say it's an awesome book and everyone should read it. 🤣
Thought I'd recommend it since we were on the track of politics/government. :)

message 13: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee Sure, thanks. I appreciate it. I will definitely take a look at it. By the by... do you know what Crazy Writing Week is...?

message 14: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Yes!! I was at it in January this year. I saw you there actually and I'm pretty sure I interacted with you a little! But I think I'm done with it (for a little while at least...) I love it a lot, but I personally find it a little stressful and I have discovered that I just CANNOT have the proper amount of self control with all the notifications I get. I don't even write half the time.....I mean, I DO, but half of my writing is just talking to people, and though it's good in moderation (like here on GR) my parents don't like it and I don't like it when I have so many people that I could talk to literally 24/7. And since I love chatting and talking, that's ALL I do. And I get nothing accomplished and I'm not interacting with my family, and I'm just stuck on the computer. So....Yeah. I might do it again in a year or something, when I know I'm mature enough to do it. I'm sure I COULD do it this January if I was really serious about it, but I don't feel like putting myself through that. (And I feel like it is a great operation, but I don't think it benefits me a ton, 1) since I already have a bunch of stories I'm working on and I'm not trying to get out of writer's block, and 2) I can't focus on my writing when I know I'm constantly getting notifications😂😭) I'm already crazy busy.
See, there I go....talking too long......MM

message 15: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee No, I love long messages. MM No worries.

I knew your name was familiar. Sheesh. So that's it. Awesome.

Well, it'll be unfortunate not having you around.. and I must confess that a lot of your notifs probably came from my posts and I apologize for that. MM

But I'm glad you're mature enough to know your limits. Says a lot about your character. I do hope you can make it though soon... hehe

message 16: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Yeah!! I saw your name on here and I was like is that THE Elijah Lee from CWW??!!! 😂 I recognized your previous profile pic actually. :)
Please don't be sorry about that- it's my fault if I can't control myself lol. Also, I didn't really comment on your posts very much, so I don't think the majority of my notifs were from your posts. I was just in a bunch of conversations because of my own comments and posts MM
Aww thank you, I appreciate you saying that :) I hope I can make it soon as well!! 23 is the age limit I think, so I got time :) I really do want to try again!!! I just think I need to focus on the really important things first....I was neglecting a lot of important stuff (like Bible reading and school and character building etc) when I did CWW, and I think I need to first make sure I am mature enough to do that consistently no matter what's going on. If I don't make it this time, you'll have to let me know how it goes. :)

message 17: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee My very recognizable pfp for sure. MM

Well, Miss Celebrity it would seem. MM But regardless of who you are, CWW is just a flood of notifs. Leave for an hour and come back to 400+... Just the way things are unfortunately.

Ah, but I totally understand that. Makes sense. But again, good to see you figure things out and deal with it. I'll still be hoping you can make it though. MM

I will definitely let you know how it goes if you can't make it. I'll make you jealous... MM JKJK

message 18: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Haha thank you :) Perhaps I will pop in if I can figure out a screen time limit and actually follow it that week MM
And I would comment just to say hi or something on other people's intro posts and then I would literally get THOUSANDS OF NOTIFS from the post that I only commented once on 😂😂😂 And I was NOT that popular MM

message 19: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee Please do pop on. And if you do, make sure you tag me so I know you're around.

MM I know how that is. I got tagged an insane amount though because apparently I needed to go answer questions...

You sure you weren't that popular? hehe

message 20: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume I'll definitely tag you!!! Tag me as well please :)
Hehehe 😂
Well I dunno.....I would just read people's intro posts and comment and I did make a lot of friends and talk to a lot of people but I never really thought I was that popular (I had to look up the meaning of popular just now hehehe....it means liked and admired by a lot of people. I think I was the one talking to people, people weren't really searching me out and chatting with me cause they liked and admired me MM) I just had friends that were SUPER popular and their posts would get a ton of spam and I'd get notified every time. Nightmarish...MM
OH and I would also frequent the writing questions space and answer as many questions as I could...that's where I got a LOT of notifs.
But I'm not trying to talk down CWW....it really is a great thing and has helped me a lot :)

message 21: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee It's very hard to get rid of the notifs from posts on CWW. MM

I'll definitely tag you though... if you do it, will you go by your name on here?

No, I totally understand what you mean. I usually try to get ahead on everything so that when the competition comes up I can do it without too much stuff getting neglected. MM

message 22: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume Yes, I'll go by Noel Hume at CWW :)
I WOULD go by my first and middle name but I feel like then a lot of people wouldn't recognize me (which MAYBE WOULD BE A GOOD THING since I don't want a bunch of notifs! *dies laughing*)

message 23: by Elijah (new) - added it

Elijah Lee Awesome. I have you written with all my planned tags for CWW. Actually, crazy writing month is coming up and I'm still deciding whether or not I should join that...

message 24: by Noel (new)

Noel Hume *dies* I can't imagine a whole month of CWW....I am completely drained with just one week MM But I suppose that it would become normal about halfway into the month. That's just.....crazy. Sounds super really fun, honestly, but I shouldn't. 😂
Apparently you have to pay for it.
