End of chapter 19: they really left 4 people stranded then decided to go back and get them. Welp, they’re already dead 💀 good job everyone

I was really scared for the Kawésqar for a minute there. Glad they sensed trouble and left

Chapter 6 thoughts: 1) sailing in the 1700s was SO DANGEROUS
2) could the faster ships not slow down so they literally don’t lose their squadron??

Why is scurvy so much worse than what I thought it was omg. I’m about to go buy oranges tomorrow brb 😣

I also find it interesting that the gunner stays to a ship while almost every other person can move ship to ship. It makes sense, but why not keep everyone on the same ship?

End of Chapter 2: audiobook helps me keep focus a lot. I know the book is about the Wager but it’s so interesting reading about how the entire group of ships intermingle. I’m also appreciating the different perspectives each chapter. I’m curious whether Cheap will end up on the Wager since we got his perspective in the first chapter.

Nah they’d have to kick me off the ship. There’s no way I’d be climbing 100ft to release some sails
