Getting interesting. We meet a meeting character, who serves the Mother and the Bastard.

A nice start. Always a pleasure to read Bujold. The world building is implied, not told. I was told that this book isn’t as strong as the first two, but I remain hopeful still. The first two were wonderful stories.
