I’m surprised by the structure of the book, not what I expected. The introduction was longer than anticipated, however necessary for me to better contextualize the content. Essentially it is translations of Epictetus’ ideas documented through Koine, or stories and recollections of his ideas and experiences. Each passage felt like a post on a message board, eerily similar to the X posts of people today.
