I really like Stella Blómkvist. It's okay if you don't. She's the Icelandic cousin of Kinky Friedman...and that a highly specialised taste right there.

I like Stella's mysteries. She's an Icelandic cousin to Kinky Friedman. That is, she is not only the author of the series, she's also the detective. (Nobody knows who Stella actually is. It's a pen name)
