AAAAND the substance abuse. Okay. I feel this is leagues from the first book. To a point it’s jarring and feels…I don’t know…egregious? Like, we get it, Malina is self medicating, this is backwards character growth, but it’s so disjointed from the rest of the story.

WOAH! Okay! Gratuitous SA scene. Like, I didn’t check the trigger warnings because they weren’t in the book (the problem with external links) but damn. Wasn’t expecting that! And these exclamations are not because I am happy, I’m shocked.
