I just read this part after she's been kidnapped and the author writes, "a pathetic cry escapes me. Inside and out, everything feels like an exposed nerve. How much pain can one person feel? May head aches so bad. And out of all the abuse I've suffered at the hands of others, this is the worst." She literally says that the behaviors that FMC does are "pathetic". She never gives us something to root for.

Also, I read book 2 before I read this one, or else I probably wouldn't have read anymore books in the series.

I'm at the point in this book where I will finish it b/c I'm too far into it, but the MFC is annoying AF. Constantly crying about herself and how people make her feel, constantly feeling badly about herself physically. Girl, I get it. You were raised by monsters and you were likely bullied due to your size, but get help. Get therapy. Read a self-help book. Whatever it takes.
