Okay, I’m 48 pages into this, and I’m starting to become annoyed. I feel like Mr. Bradbury is making this purposefully esoteric, and I’m not buying. It’s all “the howl of moon-dreamed dogs, the seep of river-cold winds…” and I’m not enjoying. I didn’t expect, nor do I want, to read flowery prose, instead I was expecting “…Ray Bradbury’s masterwork of dark fantasy.”, not this.
