Finished book #1: Anne of Green Gables!
It started out as a light-hearted, funny read, but by the end it brought me to tears 😔 A wonderful book, nevertheless, and I think it ought to be on everyone's TBR list. Anne is a protagonist unique in ways I haven't seen in others, and Avonlea as a setting is so charming. It's bound to make you forget everything else for a while.
Please go read this book!

Finished book three, 'Anne of the Island'

This one was simply great! Anne's three years at Redmond College are narrated beautifully. She comes to experience, first-hand, the grief of growing up into adulthood, of watching everything she's known as a child change before her eyes. There's disillusionment, but also much ambition, much learning. I'm loving the person Anne is becoming.

Finished book two, Anne of Avonlea! 4/5 ⭐️
This was such a sweet read. Anne's character development is realistic and heartwarming at once; her childish energy has dimmed slightly, but her imaginativeness is as strong. Excited for her new life chapter!
"The page of girlhood had been turned, as if by an unseen finger, and the page of womanhood was before her with all its charm and mystery, its pain and gladness."
